ANZAC

Many New Zealanders observe Anzac Day on April 25. It commemorates the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) at Gallipoli, Turkey, during World War I in 1915.
Over the past week we have been learning about the importance of ANZAC day.

Making Static Electricity

We have been making static electricity with Mrs O'Leary.
We each had a balloon and we had to make paper dance by rubbing the balloon on our head then holding it over small pieces of ripped up paper.
We also created static electricity to make a can roll just by holding our balloon next to it.
We made our buddies hair stand up which was hilarious!
Check out some photos below...

Hot Cross Buns

We had so much fun making delicious, fresh hot cross buns.
We were kneading the dough, then we rolled it and put it in the oven to bake.
Mmm yum!

Tennis fun!

We have been learning new Tennis skills- over hand grip, mirror grip, backhand grip.
Room 4 had a great time hitting the tennis balls over the net.. Some tennis balls went flying!
